Senior Software Engineer, Backend

About the role

Engineering teams build software supporting clinical care delivery, including scheduling, care coordination, records and integrations. The role owns complex workstreams, makes technical decisions and mentors other engineers.

What you will do

• Create reliable system prompts with large language model frameworks
• Work with product and business partners to understand and automate workflows
• Build and maintain file ingestion pipelines with Databricks
• Take end to end ownership of a service area, its data model and integration contracts
• Run code reviews, define technical standards and coach less experienced engineers
• Ensure test coverage, observability and production health of owned services

What they look for

• At least five years of production experience with distributed backend systems
• Ability to build system prompts and work with AI frameworks
• Practical experience with MongoDB or similar document databases
• Experience deploying cloud native services on Azure, AWS or GCP

Nice to have

• Building extract, transform and load workflows with Databricks
• Strong knowledge of domain driven design and bounded context modelling
• Familiarity with FHIR, HL7 or electronic medical record integrations
• Experience with high throughput, low latency services at scale
