Senior Project Engineering Manager

About the role

Plant-level technical decisions belong to this role, including design freeze and risk mitigation, while keeping contractual, regulatory, EHS and quality requirements in line. The job is the main technical contact for customers and partners.

What you will do

• Lead the technical side of assigned customer projects, setting scope and schedule and tracking engineering work
• Own engineering execution of balance-of-plant projects from contract signature to fulfilled obligations
• Review customer specifications, pass requirements to design teams and assess cost and schedule impact of scope changes
• Enforce quality procedures, capture lessons learned and mentor less experienced colleagues

What they look for

• Experience leading engineering on large plant or equipment projects across several disciplines
• Knowledge of gas turbine, steam turbine, generator, HRSG or balance of plant scope
• Ability to manage engineering budget and schedule and to work inside a matrix organisation
• Judgment to resolve complex operations, manufacturing or technology problems
• Strong communication skills for customer and EPC meetings
