Senior QA Automation Engineer (AI-Focused)

About the role

A senior quality assurance role focused on building automated test frameworks and using AI tools to speed up testing. The position covers web, API and backend services across several platforms.

What you will do

• Build and maintain automated test frameworks and cases for web, API and backend services
• Work with developers and product managers on acceptance criteria and release quality
• Wire automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and track their results
• Review code, coach junior QA staff and spread automation best practices
• Log and investigate defects with clear reproduction steps and logs
• Keep test data, environments and tooling in good shape

What they look for

• At least six years of professional QA automation experience
• Strong JavaScript or TypeScript and Python programming skills
• Experience testing RESTful APIs with Postman, REST Assured or Insomnia
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
• Solid grasp of testing principles, test design and QA methods, plus Git and Agile or Scrum experience

Nice to have

• Performance testing with JMeter or Gatling
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS
• ISTQB or similar certifications
• Contract testing or TDD and BDD experience
