Senior Software Engineer

About the role

You will shape and grow an order management and commerce platform built around Fluent Commerce, taking complex features from specification through delivery and ongoing improvement.

What you will do

• Own Fluent Commerce solutions end to end, from architecture through production release and upkeep
• Design workflows, rules, events and orchestration logic for orders, fulfilment and inventory
• Write custom rules with the Rules SDK and Java, keeping logic modular and testable
• Extend integrations with the wider e-commerce stack via GraphQL, REST, webhooks and events
• Safeguard reliability and performance of order flows, covering retries, idempotency and observability
• Partner with Product and Engineering to turn requirements into designs and AI-powered features

What they look for

• Hands-on experience extending Fluent Commerce, including its order management platform and workflow framework
• Practical work with the Fluent Commerce Rules SDK and Java with Maven
• Strong architecture and integration design skills across GraphQL, REST, webhooks and event-driven patterns
• Grasp of order management concepts such as sourcing, fulfilment, inventory, cancellations and returns
• Comfort directing coding agents on well-scoped tasks without sacrificing quality or security
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication
