Senior Software Engineer, Front End

About the role

Builds and maintains accessible, high-performance user-facing applications for public sector healthcare programs, working with designers and policy experts in cross-functional teams.

What you will do

• Design and maintain complex frontend applications with modern frameworks and web technologies
• Own components and apps across design, implementation, testing, deployment and production support
• Create reusable UI components and shared patterns that keep delivery consistent
• Help adopt and evolve design systems, including tokens, shared components and documentation
• Ensure accessibility through semantic markup, keyboard support and assistive technology testing
• Improve frontend workflows such as build tooling, dependency management and CI/CD releases

• Experience integrating frontend apps with APIs, including async data and error states
• Comfort working with little guidance and collaborating across organisations
