Engineer the reliability of a highly distributed payments platform, combining distributed systems knowledge with strong coding to define SLOs, lead incidents and build automation.

What you will do
- Take part in on-call rotations and act as incident commander during major incidents
- Instrument code for high-cardinality metrics and distributed traces and define SLOs with product owners
- Write production code in Java, Go or Python to build tooling, automation and self-healing systems
- Work with product engineering teams at design time to embed reliability and observability patterns
- Model capacity needs and run load and chaos experiments to verify resilience

- At least four years in SRE or backend engineering with clean, tested code in Java, Go, Rust or Python
- Deep grasp of distributed systems, microservices and event-driven architecture
- Hands-on experience with GCP or similar clouds and running workloads on Kubernetes
- Experience designing observability with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, New Relic, Datadog or SigNoz
- Familiarity tuning production databases and streaming platforms in high-throughput settings
