Software Engineer

About the role

Engineering roles on meaningful projects within a globally distributed team, building and running high scale applications across the full stack using modern cloud and software development practices.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, deploy and maintain software across the full engineering stack
• Apply practices such as serverless computing, microservices, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code
• Integrate systems with existing internal platforms and data tools
• Join roadmap and architecture discussions that turn business needs into working solutions
• Diagnose, track and resolve product or system issues affecting service quality
• Take part in sprint planning, retrospectives and other team activities

What they look for

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• At least five years of software engineering experience
• Five or more years writing and debugging code in Java, SpringBoot, TypeScript or JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Five or more years with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS or Azure, including cloud-native and microservices design
• Experience releasing software with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, Helm Charts and Terraform

Nice to have

• Self-starter who handles shifting priorities with little supervision
• Big data processing with Dataflow or Apache Beam, Bigtable, BigQuery, PubSub, GCS and Airflow
• UI development with HTML, JavaScript, Angular and Bootstrap
• Backend work with Java, J2EE, SpringBoot, SOA and microservices
