Splunk Administrator

About the role

Administer and optimize a Splunk environment for a Navy enterprise enclave, keeping systems secure, monitored and compliant with defense standards. The role is mostly remote with occasional after hours response.

What you will do

• Manage, configure and optimize the Splunk infrastructure and connected systems across the enclave
• Build and tune servers and host or agent files following DISA STIG, DoD policy and vendor guidance
• Plan and implement infrastructure strategies, including deployment, data management and disaster recovery testing
• Apply security patches per IAV updates, ACAS reporting and vendor best practices
• Handle backup, recovery and archiving of host configurations through the data protection solution
• Monitor systems and traffic, report weekly, and log incidents in the ticket tracking system

What they look for

• Red Hat Certified System Administrator credential or completion of the Red Hat System Administration I course
• CompTIA Security+ certification
• Active Top Secret clearance
• Hands on Splunk administration experience
• Bachelor degree in IT, cybersecurity, computer science, information systems or data science
• Strong communication and engagement skills, with willingness to travel for a week of onboarding

• Completion of the Splunk Administrator Learning Track

USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year
