Staff Software Engineer, Customer Platform

About the role

Own the backend services and APIs that connect customers, partners and internal products to a secured software supply chain. Act as the technical anchor for a team touching every part of the company.

What you will do

• Take features from design through build, release and refinement alongside product managers and partner teams
• Build and evolve backend services in Go with REST and gRPC APIs for entitlements, policies and onboarding
• Act as the main technical link to other engineering groups, gathering their needs and creating integration paths
• Bring agentic AI foundations into customer-facing product experiences
• Guide and mentor senior and mid-level engineers, helping the team resolve ambiguity and reach clear outcomes
• Support a product-driven roadmap with real deadlines, weighing tradeoffs and shipping in iterations

What they look for

• Hands-on Go experience in production settings
• Proven ownership of API design and large-scale backend systems that you have shipped and operated
• Track record of aligning several engineering teams on standards, integration patterns and shared infrastructure
• Comfort with ambiguity, arriving with a diagnosis, a recommendation and a way forward
• Demonstrated mentoring of engineers and technical guidance without a management title

Nice to have

• Cloud-native experience with Kubernetes and cloud provider APIs
• Background in entitlements, billing systems or platform infrastructure
• Prior work on AI-powered product features
