Staff Software Engineer, Files Platform

About the role

Join a team building an enterprise file management platform. The work covers distributed systems for secure storage, access control and third-party integrations used by wealth management firms.

What you will do

• Build and maintain backend services for file storage, permission syncing and external integrations at enterprise scale
• Create event-driven systems that propagate permissions in real time while meeting compliance deadlines
• Work with product, engineering, security and compliance colleagues on sensitive data access controls
• Support migrations such as storage provider changes and webhook consolidation with no downtime for clients
• Coach teammates and champion sound engineering practices
• Investigate AI features for file processing, metadata extraction and content-aware workflows

What they look for

• At least seven years of professional backend software engineering experience
• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related technical field
• Hands-on work with server-side languages such as Java, Python or C++
• A record of delivering complex projects that span several teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience building scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Experience working with file system vendors
