Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack

About the role

Join a seller focused engineering team to build and scale the platform behind seller journeys. The role pairs hands on full stack development with architectural leadership and mentoring.

What you will do

• Lead architecture and development of software solutions, making decisions that shape technical direction
• Work with cross functional teams to align technology work with business goals and explain technical ideas to non technical partners
• Run rigorous code reviews and promote strong coding practices for efficient, maintainable products
• Guide and support junior engineers in their professional growth
• Research emerging technologies and trends to improve projects and processes
• Solve complex technical problems and anticipate issues so projects run smoothly

What they look for

• At least eight years of software development experience
• Hands on experience with Java and Ruby
• Proven work developing, scaling and maintaining distributed systems
• Solid grasp of engineering principles, architectural design and agile methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, able to work independently on complex issues
• Clear communication of complex ideas

Nice to have

• Eight or more years shipping consumer or business facing products
• Experience with Elixir
• Familiarity with front end JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue

USD 172,460 to 215,575 per year
