Staff Software Engineer, Static Analysis

About the role

A staff backend role setting technical direction for a static analysis engine that helps developers find and fix security issues in the code they write.

What you will do

• Shape long-range technical goals for the team and raise the engineering bar
• Define architecture and specifications for program modeling, including parsing, symbol resolution, call graphs and taint tracking
• Build tooling that tests and validates findings against benchmark apps with known vulnerabilities
• Turn single-engineer systems into team-owned assets through docs, tests and shared review

What they look for

• Backend engineering experience at staff level
• Deep knowledge of static analysis techniques such as intermediate representations and data flow tracking
• Experience designing evaluation tooling for detection quality
• Ability to direct AI-assisted development work with good judgment
