Tax Compliance Manager (Sales, Use & Property Tax)

About the role

Owns state and local tax compliance for a portfolio of operating entities, with most of the work in multi-state sales and use tax plus annual property tax and oversight of an outside income tax adviser.

What you will do

• Gather and validate transaction data from location reports and invoices to support accurate filings
• Handle state tax notices and information requests, and support audits
• Prepare annual property tax returns and coordinate with the external income tax advisory firm

What they look for

• Hands-on return preparation experience, not only review
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort building structured workbooks
• Ability to pull and validate data across several accounting systems
• Highly organised and self-directed, meeting filing deadlines and keeping leadership informed

Nice to have

• CPA or Master's in Taxation
• Experience with tax compliance software such as Avalara, Vertex or ONESOURCE
