Textile Designer, Home and Apparel

About the role

Create prints, patterns and technical specifications for home and apparel textiles, guiding products from first concept through to files that factories can use.

What you will do

• Design prints, repeats, patterns and colourways for home and apparel lines
• Build textile products such as bedding, throws, towels, decor and clothing
• Write technical specs, tech packs and pattern work for manufacturers
• Specify fabrics, constructions, finishes, measurements and trims
• Review samples and lab dips, then comment on colour, fabric, fit and build
• Organise production ready artwork and keep collections consistent for e-commerce

What they look for

• Solid Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop ability
• Skill in repeats, colourways and pattern work, or in technical patternmaking and construction
• Able to produce detailed tech packs and factory ready specifications
• Familiar with fibres, fabrics, weaves, knits, printing methods and finishes
• Comfortable handling physical samples, measurements and repeated revisions

Nice to have

• Prior work with manufacturers overseas
• Experience with products sold on Amazon or other e-commerce platforms
