About the role

Fits someone careful with details who can juggle several accounts and is at home in insurance systems. The job keeps renewals, endorsements and carrier paperwork moving so retail brokers get accurate policies on time.

At a glance

What you will do

• Handle the renewal cycle for commercial insurance accounts, from submission to policy issue
• Issue policies, binders and endorsements and keep account records accurate
• Talk with carriers and underwriters and support brokers with market submissions
• Review policy documents for accuracy and help prepare coverage analysis and renewals
• Use brokerage systems and Excel formulas to track and report on accounts

What they look for

• At least one year of professional experience in commercial insurance
• Has managed client accounts, financial data or complex documentation
• Experience with policy administration, renewals or underwriting support
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and data management
• Organised and careful, able to handle many accounts and deadlines

Nice to have

• Wholesale insurance background across several markets
• Familiarity with agency management systems such as ImageRight and AIM

A typical week

• Servicing renewals and endorsements for a book of commercial accounts
• Corresponding with carriers and underwriters
• Updating policy records in brokerage and agency systems
• Building Excel reports and tracking account data
• Working with brokers and senior colleagues on account questions

First 90 days

• Learn account management processes with senior colleagues
• Get trained on the brokerage system
• Pick up policy administration and renewal workflows
• Practise carrier and broker communication
