AWS Architect

About the role

An advisory cloud architect who guides enterprise teams through AWS transformation and migration, setting architecture standards and ensuring secure, scalable and cost-effective environments.

What you will do

• Recommend technology choices and define standard cloud architecture patterns for AWS migrations
• Work with Cloud Center of Excellence teams across foundations, security, finance and operations
• Assess application portfolio candidates and choose migration strategies and landing zones
• Advise on infrastructure as code governance, security baselines and cloud compliance
• Drive cost optimization and FinOps practices, and mentor engineering teams on cloud-native design

What they look for

• Seven or more years in IT, including three or more focused on AWS architecture and advisory work
• Advanced knowledge of AWS core infrastructure, networking, security and governance
• Experience with technical advisory, architecture review boards or change committees
• Expertise in Cloud Center of Excellence frameworks such as FinOps, SecOps and landing zone governance
• Understanding of infrastructure as code concepts and tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
• Experience with cloud security compliance, threat modeling and IAM policy design

Nice to have

• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Associate or Professional
