Business Applications Analyst II, Property Pricing and Underwriting Modernization

About the role

Four days a week in an office, with a choice of several US locations. Work sits between business teams and IT platforms, turning needs into system changes and keeping daily operations running.

At a glance

What you will do

• Work with internal stakeholders to pin down what the business needs from application and IT platform solutions.
• Analyze and help plan low to medium complexity system upgrades and process changes.
• Walk business partners through new or changed application features, including training support.
• Handle and coordinate application support, looking into discrepancies and system failures.
• Drive resolution of platform issues, brief leadership on business impact and suggest ways to limit repeat problems.

What they look for

• A bachelor's degree, or four years of relevant education and experience in place of one.
• Two years analyzing IT business processes, application or platform design, or IT documentation.
• Familiarity with how application data systems and operations work.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

Nice to have

• Property and casualty insurance background, especially pricing or underwriting.
• Programming skills in Python, R or VBA.
• Experience with the software development life cycle and iterative Agile delivery.
• Military service background or being a military spouse or domestic partner.
