Commercial Legal Counsel (Contractor)

About the role

A contract role supporting the in-house legal team with insertion orders, third party agreements and other legal needs. The counsel works with commercial, finance and accounting teams worldwide.

What you will do

• Draft, review and negotiate vendor, customer and licensing agreements in line with policy and law
• Work with legal, sales, product, engineering and finance teams to resolve contractual issues
• Keep the contract ticketing system current, answer tickets promptly and track milestones
• Support contract compliance and address deviations or breaches
• Help improve contract templates and standard clauses and support the approval process
• Train employees on contract matters and best practices and stay current on relevant law

What they look for

• Five to ten years of experience
• A bachelor's degree in law or a related field
• Proven experience as contracts counsel or legal counsel in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of contract law and legal terminology
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Detail oriented with strong organisation and time management

Nice to have

• Prior experience in ad tech
