Community Outreach Manager

About the role

A fixed term role covering parental leave, leading frontline food assistance in disaster affected areas. The manager assesses local needs, builds field teams and ensures aid reaches communities quickly.

What you will do

• Be among the first on site to assess local conditions and urgent food needs
• Recruit, train and lead locally based outreach teams during activations
• Build trusting relationships across diverse communities with cultural awareness
• Solve problems creatively in post disaster settings alongside other response units
• Lead inclusive communication and coordination across multilingual populations
• Manage personnel on the ground, giving feedback and addressing issues as they arise

What they look for

• Existing right to work in one of the listed countries, with no visa sponsorship offered
• Willingness to live within an hour of an international airport
• Ability to work in fast changing, unpredictable environments under pressure
• Strong empathy, cultural awareness and collaborative teamwork
• Skill at turning large amounts of information into practical steps
• Fluency in two or more languages for inclusive communication
