Control Expert, Compliance

About the role

Lead targeted assurance work and build out the independent assurance framework for a banking compliance division. The role combines regulatory expertise, risk management and stakeholder coordination.

What you will do

• Run targeted and ad hoc independent assurance reviews
• Design, develop and maintain the assurance framework and methodology
• Act as subject matter expert and keep up industry relationships
• Propose process improvements and tailored solutions for assurance work
• Guide department staff and ensure documentation meets quality standards
• Track gaps and remediation actions, escalating related risks

What they look for

• Five to seven years of experience in compliance assurance
• Strong grasp of compliance risk practices tied to a bank business model
• Knowledge of banking products, processes and IT systems
• Expertise in European and Baltic regulatory requirements
• Advanced English plus excellent Latvian, Lithuanian or Estonian

Nice to have

• Certifications in internal audit, sanctions or anti-money laundering
