You will build and run scalable data pipelines on Databricks for a customer-facing banking platform, working with cross-functional teams to keep data reliable and ready for analytics.
What you will do
- Build and maintain complex ETL and ELT pipelines that process large daily datasets
- Apply Medallion Architecture patterns across bronze, silver and gold lakehouse layers
- Set up data quality frameworks with automated testing and monitoring
- Implement Delta Lake capabilities such as time travel, vacuum and Z-ordering
- Create CI/CD workflows for pipelines using Databricks Asset Bundles or similar tools
- Design scalable architectures with Unity Catalog, Delta Lake and Apache Spark
What they look for
- Six or more years in data engineering with production pipeline and ETL/ELT experience
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark and SQL
- Hands-on AWS experience with Glue, Lambda, Redshift and S3
- Background in data governance and management tools such as Unity Catalog and AWS SageMaker Unified Studio
- Experience with data migration and modernizing legacy systems
- Communicative English for an international team
Nice to have
- Databricks Certified Professional Data Engineer or similar certification
- Strong communication and teamwork
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Containerization and orchestration experience with Docker or Kubernetes
