Data Scientist, Product

About the role

Owning the data models and metrics behind plan shopping, enrollment, reimbursements and day to day benefit use. The work feeds product and operations decisions, from company level success measures down to single feature performance.

What you will do

• Work with product and operations teams on the questions that set priorities
• Study user journeys, engagement and operational data to find friction and openings
• Design and evaluate experiments that measure the impact of product changes
• Build and maintain dbt models, dashboards and analytical tools teams depend on
• Improve data quality, instrumentation and self-serve analytics

What they look for

• Have used analytics, data science and experimentation to shape product decisions
• Strong SQL, plus experience with dbt or similar transformation tools
• Have built analytical data models and dashboards in BI or visualization tools
• Can write Python for analysis, experiments or statistical modeling
• Strong product judgment and able to turn complex findings into clear recommendations
• Work independently and across teams, comfortable with ambiguity

Nice to have

• Have influenced product roadmaps and prioritization through data
• Have set up experimentation practices with guardrail metrics or sample-size guidance
• Have analyzed funnels, retention, cohorts or engagement across complex journeys
• Have built statistical or machine-learning models for segmentation, forecasting or recommendations
