Development Engineer

About the role

Building and maintaining the data pipelines behind enterprise analytics and reporting for a large public healthcare program. Work covers ingestion, transformation and quality checks on a Delta Lake lakehouse, with governance and audit needs built in.

At a glance

What you will do

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that prepare data for analytics and reporting
• Write data processing workflows in Python, SQL and PySpark on Databricks and Delta Lake
• Design lakehouse structures for large healthcare datasets
• Tune jobs for speed, reliability and cloud cost on AWS and Databricks
• Handle schema design, data modeling and version-controlled pipeline code
• Document lineage and metadata for audit and compliance reporting

What they look for

• Experience building data pipelines with Python, SQL and PySpark
• Familiarity with Databricks and Delta Lake
• Knowledge of AWS data services
• Practice with CI/CD and version control such as GitHub
