Document Control Specialist

About the role

Supports a substation engineering team by keeping project records organised, tracked and current. The role also involves learning several clients' document management rules and serving internal and external customers.

What you will do

• Process and request engineering and construction drawings and documents following company procedures
• Run document control systems for transmission, distribution, substation and capital improvement work
• Receive, review, classify, distribute and archive project records
• Track approvals, transmittals, revision history and document status
• Coordinate submissions among engineering teams, clients and subcontractors
• Support closeout with final turnover packages and record retention

What they look for

• Associate or bachelor's degree, with a technical degree preferred
• Up to four years of experience managing technical and engineering documentation
• Up to four years of communication experience with internal and external clients
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint

Nice to have

• Understanding of engineering drawing standards and revision control
