Embedded Linux / High-Compute Engineer

About the role

Sustain software for production automotive ECUs, handling component changes that affect ECU software or manufacturing test and supporting production at a contract manufacturer.

What you will do

• Take over existing codebases, make component driven changes and validate them
• Handle part obsolescence, memory swaps and second source changes affecting software or test
• Support production at a contract manufacturer, including test updates and line failure debugging
• Read yield data and document processes so work can run independently
• Write SOPs and runbooks as part of the role

What they look for

• Five or more years of automotive embedded software experience
• Experience supporting production at a contract manufacturer, including deploying test updates and debugging line failures
• Ability to judge whether a component change requires software work and carry it through validation
• Familiarity with automotive change control such as PPAP, DV/PV and deviations
• Hands on bench debugging with standard lab tools
• Embedded Linux on automotive SoCs, with storage bring-up for eMMC, UFS, SSD or DRAM changes

Nice to have

• QNX or Android experience
• Qualcomm, NXP i.MX or NVIDIA platforms
• Experience taking over a legacy codebase with thin documentation

Pay

USD 130,000 to 140,000 per year
