Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

About the role

Deliver primary care to patients of all ages in a clinic setting, with one remote day each week. The role combines in-person visits, virtual care and teamwork with clinical colleagues.

What you will do

• Manage a panel of patients with varied needs, covering acute, chronic and preventive visits
• See patients in the office or at testing sites and handle occasional telehealth appointments
• Take part in weekly clinical rounds and other ongoing learning activities
• Collaborate with on-site colleagues in daily huddles and with virtual clinical teams
• Use your clinical training and carry out procedures in the office

What they look for

• Graduated from an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program and hold national certification
• Licensed to practice in California by the start date
• At least two years as an advanced practitioner in outpatient primary care within the last five years, or one year plus a primary care fellow
• A commitment to human-centered primary care
• Able to communicate with and care for people from all backgrounds
• Comfortable using technology to support high quality care

Nice to have

• Experience inserting long-acting reversible contraceptives such as IUDs and implants
• Experience performing colposcopy
