Field Service Engineer, FACTS and HVDC

About the role

You will lead and support commissioning and service work on high voltage grid equipment at customer sites, mostly on location across Central Europe. The role helps integrate renewable power into the grid.

What you will do

• Commission and service HVDC and FACTS installations in the field, possibly supervising subcontractors
• Coordinate onshore and offshore project work so deadlines and quality targets are met
• Give technical support to customers and to internal teams on transmission projects
• Help prepare site activities together with customers and project management
• Write documentation and site reports, and act as the contact for health and safety matters
• Attend customer meetings on site when needed

What they look for

• A qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering, ideally electrical or power engineering, preferably with technician training
• Solid experience in a comparable role, including on-site and field service work
• Understanding of high voltage parts, power electronics and electrical networks
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally up to 75 percent
• Fluent Polish and English

Nice to have

• Experience with drives, FACTS or HVDC equipment such as valves, control and protection
• Knowledge and site experience commissioning protection relays
• Troubleshooting skills using network recorders or analyzers
