Finance Manager

About the role

A part-time finance manager who oversees financial processes and administration across a growing foundation, ensuring legal compliance and sound practice while improving systems and reporting.

What you will do

• Oversee the development and implementation of operational financial procedures used by the team.
• Prepare, develop and analyse management accounting information and keep accounting requirements correctly applied.
• Handle bank reconciliations, resolve invoice discrepancies, and manage daily cashflow and bank accounts.
• Prepare annual budgets and forecasts with budget holders and produce quarterly reports for the board.
• Support year-end statutory accounts and coordinate internal audit and other audit requirements.
• Ensure HMRC and Companies House filings and returns are submitted, liaising with external accounting partners.

What they look for

• Proven success in a comparable financial management position.
• Strong analytical ability and close attention to detail.
• Qualified with a recognised accounting body such as CIMA, ICAEW or ACCA, or qualified by experience with five or more years in management ac
• Knowledge of financial management in the not-for-profit sector.
• Experience developing and implementing finance systems and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a hands-on, can-do approach to driving change.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with charity SORP.
• Experience with Xero.
• Experience of international finance and banking systems.
• Experience working internationally or across multiple jurisdictions.
