Finance Operations Specialist

About the role

A twelve month remote contract supporting the daily budgeting and accounting needs of a marketing department. The specialist works with finance, accounting, travel and expense and accounts payable teams to keep spend accurate.

What you will do

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close activities
• Manage and reconcile department budgets, forecasts and accruals
• Check accounting reports against forecasts to keep figures accurate
• Make sure marketing spend maps to internal billing codes for correct profit reporting
• Find and carry out process improvements that raise efficiency and accuracy

What they look for

• Two to three years of experience in finance operations or accounting
• Good grasp of accounting principles and GAAP compliance
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
