Financial Controller

About the role

Own the accuracy of financial records and help build scalable accounting processes so the company can expand internationally. The role covers financial close, group consolidation, tax compliance and oversight of daily accounting.

What you will do

• Run the monthly, quarterly and annual close for the whole group
• Coordinate accounting across several legal entities and jurisdictions so practices stay consistent and reporting is timely
• Oversee a two-person team handling revenue, cost of goods, inventory, payroll, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and the general ledger
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, supporting documents and balance sheet accounts, resolving open items
• Serve as a main finance contact for annual audits and reviews, supplying needed information
• Work with the FP&A team to keep reporting timely, accurate and consistent

What they look for

• Hands-on experience owning financial close across multiple legal entities
• Knowledge of group consolidation, including intercompany entries, eliminations and currency translation
• Experience with VAT compliance and indirect taxes such as GST and sales tax
• Ability to investigate complex accounting issues and reconciliations personally
• Experience supervising accounting staff and external providers
• Valid visa or work permit for the country of residence
