Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer, AI Trainer

About the role

Train and assess AI agents on advanced fluid simulation work. You will prepare CAD models, run simulations, create verified reference results and write Python checks for agent outputs.

What you will do

• Prepare CAD geometry and set up and run fluid simulations
• Build verified reference solutions for simulation tasks
• Write Python scripts that check the agent's results
• Evaluate AI agent performance on expert-level simulation work

What they look for

• Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or energy, oil and gas or a similar field
• Several years of practical CFD experience in industry or research, including meshing
• Hands-on use of OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent or CFX, or STAR-CCM+
• Experience with verification and validation, mesh-independence studies and benchmark comparisons
• Comfortable using Python and GitHub
• English at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Background in aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery
• Experience with multiphase or particle-laden flows
