Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer, AI Trainer

About the role

Train and assess AI agents on advanced fluid simulation work. You will prepare and run simulations, create verified reference results, and write Python checks for agent output.

What you will do

• Prepare and execute CFD simulations from supplied CAD geometry
• Produce validated reference solutions for simulation tasks
• Write Python scripts that check the agent's results
• Evaluate AI agent performance on expert fluid simulation tasks

What they look for

• Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or energy or oil and gas
• Several years of practical CFD work in industry or research, including meshing
• Hands-on use of OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent or CFX, or STAR-CCM+
• Experience with verification and validation, mesh independence and benchmark comparison
• Comfortable using Python and GitHub
• English at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Background in aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery
• Experience with multiphase or particle-laden flows
