Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer, AI Trainer

About the role

Support the training and assessment of AI agents working on advanced fluid simulation problems. Prepare simulation cases, produce trusted reference results, and code automated checks in Python.

What you will do

• Prepare and execute CFD simulations starting from CAD geometry
• Create verified reference solutions for the agent to be measured against
• Write Python scripts that check the agent's simulation results
• Assess the quality of AI-generated work on fluid dynamics tasks

What they look for

• Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or in energy, oil and gas or a similar discipline
• Several years of practical CFD work in industry or research, meshing included
• Hands-on use of OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent or CFX, or STAR-CCM+
• Experience with verification and validation, such as mesh independence studies and benchmark comparisons
• Working knowledge of Python and GitHub
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Background in aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery
• Experience with multiphase flows or flows carrying particles
