What you will do
- Build scalable, resilient cloud native applications and infrastructure on AWS with fellow reliability engineers
- Maintain and extend infrastructure as code written in Terraform
- Improve existing deployment strategies and keep them working well
- Deliver monitoring, observability and alerting patterns for applications and infrastructure
- Serve as an escalation point to find and fix root causes of production incidents
- Lead projects with other reliability engineers and keep stakeholders informed of progress

- Degree or equivalent plus five years of relevant experience
- Ability to script in one or more languages such as Python, Ruby or Javascript
- Experience designing and running high scale patterns on AWS
- Experience building repeatable continuous integration and deployment workflows
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage time across competing projects
- Aptitude for quickly understanding and debugging complex distributed systems
Nice to have
- Training in secure coding practices
- Confident Python writing
- AWS professional level certification, plus GCP or Azure
- Experience at a public company, open source contributions or a technical blog
