Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer, AI Trainer

About the role

Support the training and assessment of AI agents working on advanced fluid simulation problems. You prepare simulation cases, produce trusted reference results and code checks for the agents' output.

What you will do

• Set up and run fluid simulations from supplied CAD geometry
• Create verified reference solutions for the simulation tasks
• Write Python scripts that check the agents' results
• Assess and help improve the performance of AI agents

What they look for

• Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or energy, oil and gas or a similar field
• Several years of practical CFD work in industry or research, including meshing
• Hands-on use of OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent or CFX, or STAR-CCM+
• Experience with verification and validation, such as mesh-independence studies and benchmark comparisons
• Comfortable using Python and GitHub
• English at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Background in aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery
• Experience with multiphase or particle-laden flows
