Frontend Software Engineer, Payments Platform

About the role

Build and maintain large-scale web applications for a payments platform, extending payment capabilities and improving reliability of mission-critical systems.

What you will do

• Extend platform capabilities by adding new payment methods
• Ship features, bug fixes and reliability improvements to production

What they look for

• Degree in computer science or equivalent practical background
• Five or more years at mid-to-senior level owning production services in distributed systems
• Strong TypeScript and React skills, including hooks, context and custom hooks
• Experience with Webpack bundling, code splitting and micro-frontends via Module Federation
• Working knowledge of GraphQL, Apollo Client caching and type-safe generated hooks
• Production experience with telemetry, error logging, feature flags and gradual rollouts

Nice to have

• Prior billing or payments domain experience
• Experience with high-scale mission-critical frontend systems
• Ability to reason clearly about client-side architecture and caching
• Collaboration with backend partners on API contracts
