Government Accountant

About the role

A full-time remote accountant supports a national finance ministry engagement funded by a development bank, working daily in Bisan ERP to reconcile balances and prepare audit schedules for roughly a year.

What you will do

• Reconcile general ledger balances in Bisan against bank statements, subledgers and third-party evidence, documenting each in reviewable work
• Clear overdue monthly and year-end reconciliations, investigate differences and draft proposed adjusting entries for client approval
• Deliver a reconciled year-end trial balance ready for statement preparation and audit
• Build audit schedules from auditor request lists and help respond to auditor questions
• Coach ministry staff on recording entries, running reconciliations and producing reports in Bisan, and track time and status accurately

What they look for

• At least one year of hands-on Bisan ERP financial modules work, covering entries, bank reconciliation, reports and transaction drill-down
• Three or more years of accounting under U.S. GAAP, including U.S. clients or a U.S. firm's offshore team
• Experience preparing audit schedules and answering external auditor requests
• Advanced Excel skills such as lookups, pivot tables and reconciliation templates, plus fluent English and a bachelor's degree in accounting
