Human Resources Generalist

About the role

Run the day-to-day work of the HR department across several US offices and one overseas site, working closely with an HR assistant in a hands-on, on-site role.

What you will do

• Support HR operations for seven offices across several states and one location in China
• Handle recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, data entry and offboarding
• Keep employee records and documents compliant with federal, state and local employment law
• Track hiring, terminations, benefits, visas, leaves and training in spreadsheets
• Prepare reports such as ACA, W-2, EEO and workers compensation filings
• Process visa and green card cases with help from an immigration attorney

What they look for

• At least eight to ten years of generalist HR experience
• Strong written and verbal communication, plus negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Solid grasp of employment law and regulations
• Good organisation, time management and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to learn HR information and talent management systems quickly

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree
• PRC or SHRM certification
• Familiarity with Ascentis Payroll or Deltek Vision/Vantage Point
• Knowledge of retirement plans such as 401K, Roth, profit sharing and ESOP
