A remote second-line support role focused on resolving complex technical problems and keeping systems and networks dependable for a US based client. The position suits someone who likes troubleshooting and handling several requests at once.
What you will do
- Handle second-line support requests covering hardware, software, systems and networks
- Diagnose and look after Windows, macOS, Linux and Windows Server systems
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments
- Carry out remote installs, configuration changes, updates and upkeep
- Troubleshoot connectivity, manage IP addressing and support local networks
- Set up and maintain antivirus, firewalls, VPNs, mail filtering and DNS security
What they look for
- Mid to senior experience in technical support, help desk or systems administration
- Strong troubleshooting across Windows, macOS and Linux
- Hands-on administration of Windows Server and Linux servers such as Debian and Proxmox
- Good grasp of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration
- Solid networking knowledge covering TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and IP addressing
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs and security tools such as pfSense, UniFi and OPNsense
