About the role

A mid level backend developer builds reliable and scalable services in Java for an automotive client, working with Quarkus or Jakarta EE and collaborating with frontend and other engineers on APIs, integrations and security.

What you will do

Design, build and maintain backend services and applications in Java
Create solutions with Quarkus or Jakarta EE and related technologies
Design and maintain REST APIs and connections between systems
Handle databases and persistence, using mapping tools that cut boilerplate code
Write clean, testable Java and keep unit and integration tests up to date
Apply backend security practices, join code reviews and use Git, containers and CI/CD pipelines

What they look for

Solid mid level professional experience developing software in Java
Experience with Quarkus, Jakarta EE or Spring Boot
Good grasp of backend architecture and development principles
Practical experience with persistence and database interaction
Understanding of API and application security, REST API design, Git, Docker and CI/CD fundamentals
