Lead Appian Solutions Developer

About the role

A hands-on lead developer role on an agile team building and supporting Appian applications. The person is the most senior developer on the team and connects business analysts with quality assurance testers.

What you will do

• Design, code, test, deploy and maintain Appian applications, applying existing platform standards
• Oversee systems analysis, design and development from basic to complex, and contribute on complex projects
• Work with product owners, analysts and UX teams to produce design artifacts and inform implementation decisions
• Author architecture documentation, technical specifications and traceable technical tasks
• Guide integration patterns with upstream and downstream systems, internal and external
• Direct and monitor less experienced staff and coordinate development tasks across projects

What they look for

• Strong expertise with the Appian platform and its specific capabilities
• Experience producing deliverables across the full application lifecycle, including incident triage and unit testing
• Ability to understand business processes and apply security best practices such as least privilege
• Skill in evaluating complex interrelationships among programs, applications and platforms
• Clear formal and informal communication with stakeholders, product owners and technology teams
