What you will do
- Develop litigation strategies matched to each client's goals and circumstances
- Advise clients on employment law issues with clear, practical guidance
- Research statutes, regulations and case law and draft pleadings, motions, briefs and agreements
- Negotiate settlements, handle dispute resolution and advocate for favorable outcomes
- Mentor legal staff and contribute to business development and practice growth
What they look for
- A Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- An active North Carolina bar license
- Five or more years of labor and employment law experience
- Strong litigation experience covering case management, pleadings, motions, discovery and negotiations
- Experience counseling clients on employment law and giving practical advice
- Excellent research, writing, negotiation and oral advocacy skills
Nice to have
- Leadership, mentoring or legal team management experience
