Lead iOS Engineer (Swift, SwiftUI)

About the role

Lead the native iOS app for an AI-powered learning platform used by millions of students, combining hands-on development with technical direction and mentoring.

What you will do

• Own the mobile app end to end, covering architecture, performance and releases
• Set technical direction and mentor the engineers supporting mobile
• Work with product and engineering leaders on onboarding, growth and retention
• Ship features, instrument user journeys and run A/B tests to measure impact
• Handle App Store releases, versioning, store optimization and crash monitoring
• Possibly help build a dedicated mobile team as the area grows

What they look for

• At least five years of native iOS development
• Prior lead role with responsibility for technical direction and guiding engineers
• Strong Swift skills plus practical SwiftUI and UIKit experience
• Record of shipping consumer-grade iOS apps
• English at C1 or above, based in Europe

Nice to have

• EdTech experience, especially study or learning products
• Early-stage startup or fast-growing consumer platform background
• Product-led growth, A/B testing and retention optimization experience
• Objective-C, Kotlin or React Native exposure
