What you will do

  • Run live captioning and streaming projects end to end, keeping delivery on time and up to standard
  • Set requirements, timelines and deliverables with broadcast, engineering, IT and accessibility teams
  • Configure and deploy streaming setups and captioning tools such as OBS, Wirecast, YouTube Live, Twitch and Zoom
  • Fix technical problems during live broadcasts and keep downtime low
  • Build workflows that join captions, transcripts and translations to streamed content, and manage vendors and freelancers

What they look for

  • Command of streaming platforms and encoders, including OBS, Wirecast, vMix, Wowza and Restream
  • Knowledge of RTMP, HLS, WebRTC and CDN delivery, plus server-side and client-side streaming setups
  • Familiarity with real-time captioning: stenography, CART, ASR, and tools such as Ai-Media, EEG Falcon, CaptionSync or StreamText
  • Working knowledge of caption formats SRT, VTT and SCC, and of ADA, WCAG and FCC rules
  • Record of juggling several projects, setting priorities and working to tight deadlines across time zones

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or broadcast engineering
