At a glance

What you will do

• Find and push material along according to orders, schedules and priorities, keeping the related records
• Check inventory reports and work orders to confirm what material is needed, how much and when
• Compare receipts against order specs and update inventory records on the computer system
• Set delivery sequences by requisition priority and required dates, then arrange distribution
• Compile regular reports so inventory status is current and visible

What they look for

• Three years of experience working in an overseas environment outside the continental US
• Knowledge of supply chain and logistics principles and processes
• High school diploma or equivalent
• US citizenship and the ability to obtain a NACI clearance
• Solid Microsoft Word and Excel skills

• Cross-cultural sensitivity and an international outlook

A typical week

• Check overdue items with supervisors and report location, condition and availability
• Move material to production areas by cart or hand truck and log quantities
• Match incoming shipments to order specifications
• Update inventory records and prepare recurring status reports
• Adjust delivery sequences as priorities change
