MCS Technician

About the role

A role for an MCS specialist who will test and refine a compliance and documentation flow for solar and heat pump installs, and act as the go-to contact for UK market and compliance questions.

What you will do

• Review the current MCS commissioning and handover flow from the perspective of someone who has worked on site
• Report gaps, errors and steps that would fail on a real installation job
• Turn MCS requirements into practical product decisions so client documents pass inspection first time
• Act as the internal reference for UK compliance and market questions

What they look for

• Hands-on experience installing both solar and heat pumps
• Deep knowledge of MCS commissioning, handover and certification requirements and how they apply in practice
• Awareness of common documentation pitfalls such as missing evidence, incomplete forms and failed audits
• Familiarity with the DNO application flow, including G98 and G99 notifications and why they get delayed
• Up to date on UK PV and heating compliance changes and able to explain their impact
• Clear, direct communication with product and engineering teams who lack site experience

• Based in the UK, though remote candidates elsewhere are considered
