Part-Time Medical Biller

About the role

A part-time biller is needed to run the whole billing cycle for a small therapy practice, covering insurance checks through claims, payments and reconciliation. The person works independently and keeps practice staff informed.

What you will do

• Handle the complete billing cycle for a behavioral health group practice
• Confirm patient insurance eligibility and benefits before care
• Support prior authorization requests and follow up on them
• Submit claims accurately and on time, then track their status
• Work through denials and rejections, and file appeals where warranted
• Post payments, process remittance advices and reconcile accounts

What they look for

• Solid experience with medical billing in the United States
• Track record covering verification, claims, denials, appeals, posting and reconciliation
• Good grasp of U.S. insurance and billing processes
• Clear professional English in writing and speech
• Careful, detail-focused approach and ability to work unsupervised
• Dependable availability during Central Time business hours

Nice to have

• Billing experience in behavioral health, mental health or therapy settings
