People and Culture Specialist, Employee Relations, Leave and Accommodations

About the role

A specialist role handling everyday employee relations, leave and accommodation cases for a multi-state legal workforce, acting as a key partner to managers and staff on workplace concerns and formal requests.

What you will do

• Run assigned employee relations cases from first report through to closure, covering interviews, fact finding and recommendations
• Coach managers and attorneys on fair, consistent handling of performance, conduct, attendance and conflict issues
• Keep confidential case records accurate and current, tracking actions and deadlines to completion
• Manage leave and accommodation requests under ADA, FMLA and state or local rules, coordinating the interactive process
• Monitor employment and leave law changes across jurisdictions and help update policies and guidance
• Lead approved people and culture initiatives from planning through adoption

What they look for

• Experience handling employee relations cases and workplace investigations
• Knowledge of leave and accommodation law, including ADA and FMLA
• Sound judgment to resolve routine matters and escalate higher risk issues
• Strong documentation, communication and stakeholder coaching skills
• Ability to work independently within established policy
