Principal Applied AI Scientist

About the role

Build AI systems that turn large scale geospatial data into insights and predictive intelligence. The role spans the full machine learning pipeline from data ingestion to production inference.

What you will do

• Design, build and launch AI applications that convert geospatial data into actionable and predictive insights
• Run end to end AI and ML pipelines covering ingestion, preprocessing, feature engineering, training, evaluation and inference
• Put reasoning, vision language and multimodal models into production using imagery, geospatial signals and structured data
• Architect training and experimentation frameworks with automated pipelines, experiment tracking and reproducible evaluation
• Create synthetic datasets and test harnesses to check model robustness and edge cases
• Optimize models and inference for scale, latency, cost and reliability on cloud infrastructure

What they look for

• Wide ranging experience resolving complex issues with creative and effective methods
• Ability to evaluate variable factors in depth and choose methods and evaluation criteria
• Judgment in selecting techniques and approaches for results
• Skill at networking with key contacts beyond own area of expertise
• Eligibility as a U.S. person under export control rules
