Principal or Senior Principal Supplier Mission Assurance Engineer

About the role

The supplier mission assurance group needs someone who can judge both quality systems and manufacturing processes at supplier sites. Work covers risk management, verification, and corrective action across all phases of a program.

What you will do

• Own the quality of goods delivered by outside suppliers
• Build and run systems that evaluate and control supplier quality and risk
• Check supplier processes and products against contract, regulatory and technical rules
• Run product and process verification, track supplier performance, drive root cause and corrective action
• Handle supplier waivers, deviations and discrepancy reports
• Keep management posted on supplier quality status and risks

What they look for

• For the senior principal level: a science bachelor plus 8 years, a master plus 6, or a PhD plus 4
• For the principal level: a science bachelor plus 5 years, a master plus 3, or a PhD plus 1
• Experience planning and applying quality methods for bought-in items across design, purchasing, acceptance and use
• Experience working directly with suppliers, customers and colleagues
• Ability to assess supplier quality and manufacturing processes on site
• Secret clearance before starting
